Role description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with over 10 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Playwright Automation using TypeScript, experience building scalable automation frameworks from scratch, and a proven track record of delivering quality solutions in enterprise-scale applications. The role requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, along with hands-on experience in Agile environments and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
- Develop scalable and reusable automation solutions based on industry best practices and design patterns.
- Perform backend data validation and analysis using SQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous quality initiatives.
- Manage test artifacts, work items, and quality processes using Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure high-quality delivery standards across enterprise-scale applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall experience in Software Testing and Quality Engineering.
- Strong professional experience with Playwright Automation using TypeScript.
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong understanding of test automation design patterns and best practices.
- Experience in API testing and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Git and modern CI/CD processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) including:
- Test Management
- Work Items
- CI/CD Pipelines
- Strong SQL skills for backend data validation and analysis.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to enterprise-scale web application testing.
Good to Have
- Experience with Playwright using C#/.NET.
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver and related automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and practices.
