Manage procurement of Non-BOM (indirect materials) and CAPEX (capital expenditure) items to ensure timely availability, cost efficiency, quality, compliance, and support for business operations and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Non-BOM Procurement

Procure indirect materials such as MRO items, office supplies, consumables, IT hardware/software, and facility management services.

Identify, develop, and manage suppliers for indirect procurement categories.

Ensure timely procurement to prevent operational disruptions.

Monitor consumption patterns and optimize costs through contracts and consolidation.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, and supplier agreements.
CAPEX Procurement
-
Manage procurement of machinery, equipment, plant upgrades, automation systems, and infrastructure-related assets.

Work closely with engineering and technical teams to finalize specifications.

Conduct techno-commercial evaluations and supplier assessments.

Lead RFQ/RFP processes and vendor selection.
-
Manage the complete procurement cycle from requisition to commissioning.

Track project schedules and ensure timely delivery.
Vendor Management

Identify and onboard new vendors.
-
Maintain vendor databases and performance records.
-
Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews.
-
Develop long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.
Cost Optimization

Drive cost-saving initiatives through negotiation, value engineering, bulk purchasing, and alternate sourcing.

Monitor market trends and benchmark supplier pricing.
Compliance & Documentation

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and audit requirements.

Maintain procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, GRNs, and invoices.

Ensure legal and statutory compliance for major purchases.
Budget Control

Manage procurement activities within approved budgets.

Track spending against budget allocations.

Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Stakeholder Coordination

Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, Accounts, Operations, and Production teams.

Ensure procurement activities align with project and operational requirements.
Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in engineering / commerce / supply chain / MBA (preferred)

5–12 years of experience in procurement (Non-BOM + CAPEX preferred)
