Our diverse portfolio features highly sought-after regional specialties—including traditional and indigenous rice variants, ancient millets, wood-pressed oils, premium seeds, and artisanal sweeteners.
Operating through an established omnichannel model, our products are available on all major e-commerce platforms and across prominent retail networks. As we step into our next phase of aggressive regional expansion, we are looking for a high-energy Sales and Business Development professional to scale our offline market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- B2B & Retail Distribution: Identify, onboard, and manage a robust network of super-stockists, distributors, and high-end retail chains to increase product visibility and sales velocity.
- Market Penetration: Lead sales efforts for our staple premium lines, specifically focusing on positioning our traditional rice varieties, millets, and clean-labeled groceries into health-conscious consumer segments and premium grocery channels.
- Corporate & Institutional Sales: Proactively reach out to corporate clients, gift curators, gourmet food aggregators, and hospitality buyers for bulk, custom-packaged, or private-label arrangements.
- Account Management: Cultivate and sustain highly profitable, long-term relationships with key accounts, monitoring inventory cycles, handling re-orders, and ensuring smooth logistical coordination.
- On-Ground Strategy: Execute impactful regional marketing and visual merchandising campaigns at the store level to boost organic shelf-space share.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Track daily sales metrics, pipeline movement, market feedback, and competitive positioning to report directly to leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven sales or business development success within the FMCG sector, ideally handling premium foods, health foods, organics, or specialized consumer staples.
- Market Familiarity: Strong pre-existing relationships with distributors, modern trade channels, or premium supermarket buyers in Kolkata and neighboring Eastern Indian markets.
- Product Knowledge: A foundational understanding of organic food standards or an active enthusiasm for sustainable consumer health alternatives is highly preferred.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills, execution discipline, and a metrics-driven approach to closing commercial agreements.
- Mobility: A strong willingness to engage in extensive field travel and store-level visits across the designated territory.
