G M Fabrics is hiring " Textile Designer" for its inhouse Design team.
Job Location: Marol, Andheri(E)
Job Role:
- Develop original prints, patterns, and layouts for bedding products, such as duvet covers, pillowcases, and quilts, in line with market trends.
- Conduct research on global design trends, competitor collections, and color palettes to inform seasonal designs.
- Create and maintain technical files, CAD artwork, and print data for production.
- Work closely with production team to produce strike-off approvals, color matching, and physical samples.
- Discuss and work with Bedding Sales Head and other cross-functional teams to translate concepts into physical products.
- Present design collections and concepts internally for further decision making and approvals.
Required skills and qualifications:-
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in the home furnishing industry, ideally with a portfolio of home textile designs(Bedding). Experience with international markets and export houses is a plus.
- High proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other CAD programs is crucial.
- Strong understanding of design principles (composition, layout), color theory, and the ability to create and modify color palettes.
- Familiarity with different fabric types, weaving techniques, and printing processes (e.g., screen, digital).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for collaborating with teams and clients.
