About the Role We are looking for a Purchase Executive / Purchase Assistant to manage procurement of industrial automation and electrical components, supporting our projects from sourcing through delivery. This role involves reading technical BOMs and EPLAN drawings, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring materials arrive on time and within budget. Candidates from panel manufacturing, machine building, or automation engineering backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure components such as PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, servo drives, VFDs, sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Read and interpret EPLAN drawings and BOMs to raise accurate purchase requisitions
- Identify and develop reliable vendors across automation and electrical categories
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers
- Create, issue, and track Purchase Orders through to delivery
- Coordinate with design and production teams to plan material requirements
- Maintain inventory accuracy and support reorder planning
- Manage procurement documentation, including quotations, comparison statements, and GRNs
- Support import procurement and related documentation where required
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
- Update and maintain procurement records in ERP systems
Requirements
- 2–6 years of procurement experience, ideally in industrial automation, electrical panel manufacturing, or machine building
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or related field)
- Working knowledge of automation components and brands such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley (Rockwell), Mitsubishi, Omron, ABB, Festo, SMC, and similar
- Experience with ERP/inventory systems such as SAP Business One, Tally Prime, Zoho Inventory, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and BOMs
Preferred
- Experience with import procurement or international vendor coordination
- Prior background working alongside design/EPLAN teams
