Roles & Responsibilities
1. Develop procurement plans based on production schedules and sales forecasts.
2. Propose improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships and lower the cost of doing business.
3. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
4. Create vendor sourcing strategies for domestic and international suppliers.
5. Collaborate with inventory control and sales to develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year.
6. Ensure availability of critical components.
7. Take the lead in creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses.
8. Manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal performance standards.
9. Assist in developing more effective invoicing and collecting processes.
10. Identify, evaluate, and on board reliable suppliers and build long-term relationships and negotiate contracts.
11. Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
12. Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, spare parts, and consumables.
13. Track orders and follow up for on-time delivery.
14. Coordinate with logistics for shipment and delivery.
15. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
16. Compare quotations and finalize suppliers based on techno-commercial evaluation
17. Monitor market trends for raw materials (steel, electronics, etc.)
18. Implement cost reduction initiatives (bulk buying, alternate sourcing).
19. Work closely with stores and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
20. Avoid overstocking or stock-outs of critical components
21. Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
22. Ensure procured materials meet required technical specifications.
23. Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspection and testing.
24. Handle supplier quality issues and initiate corrective actions.

28. Identify supply chain risks (supplier dependency, delays, price fluctuations)
29. Develop alternate sourcing strategies.
Nice to Have:
1. Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. 6 to 10+ years of direct experience in procurement and management experience.
3. Strong knowledge of supply chain management required.
4. Proven track record of developing effective inventory management policies required.
5. Analytically strong and cost control mind-set.
Should have excellent communication skills in Kannada & English languages.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹720,000.00 - ₹960,000.00 per year
