About the Role
Hamari Asha Foundation is looking for a creative and socially driven Product Designer for the Home decor & Lifestyle category. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the social sector and interested in designing products while working closely with women artisans and craft-based production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new products in the home décor and lifestyle category, including prototypes and samples.
- Explore and source suitable materials for product development and production.
- Plan product collections based on seasonal trends and market demand.
- Manage production planning, order execution, and quality control.
- Streamline backend processes and inventory management.
- Train and coordinate with the Hamari Asha team and women artisans for product production.
- Identify opportunities for new product development and design innovation while supporting artisan livelihoods.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in product design, fashion design, craft-based design, or a related area.
- Strong creative thinking, design skills, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work closely with artisan communities and production teams.
- Experience working with crafts, textiles, or artisan-based products is preferred.
- Proficiency in digital tools (design software, presentation tools, etc.).
- Work portfolio is mandatory.
