Qualification:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Automobile Engineering or allied disciplines.
- Bachelor’s degree holders may also apply.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, inventory management, laboratory software).
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software, AutoCAD, 3D printing, and workshop practices will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in engineering laboratories, workshops, or academic institutions preferred.
Job Description:
- Assist faculty in conducting laboratory practicals, workshops, project activities, and examinations.
- Prepare laboratory setups, tools, instruments, consumables, and equipment before practical sessions.
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and machines.
- Ensure proper upkeep, cleanliness, safety, and discipline in laboratories and workshops.
- Maintain laboratory records, stock registers, inventory, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
- Support student projects, research activities, prototype development, and testing.
- Assist in procurement, verification, and installation of laboratory equipment and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and accreditation requirements.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and vendor servicing activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or Laboratory In-charge.
