Today, lactation support is fragmented, reactive, and inconsistent. We are changing that by building a high-quality, scalable lactation care system delivered through trained nurses and structured programs.
This is a category-defining effort and this role will shape how it comes to life.
The Role
This is not a typical lactation consultant role.
You will design how lactation care is delivered at scale- translating your on-ground expertise into systems, training, and experiences that reach hundreds of mothers through a team of nurses.
You are both a practitioner and a builder.
What You’ll Own
1. Build the Lactation Care Model
* Create structured postpartum lactation journeys (0–3 months)
* Define protocols: assessment, intervention, follow-ups
* Standardize care so every mother gets consistent, high-quality support
2. Train & Enable Lactation Nurses
* Design and run a hands-on training program for nurses
* Certify and onboard nurses before they start
* Continuously upskill through feedback, case reviews, and workshops
3. Drive Quality & Outcomes
* Define what “great lactation support” looks like
* Review cases, audit sessions, and improve care delivery
* Build feedback loops from mothers → nurses → system
4. Stay Close to Mothers
* Work directly with select mothers, especially complex cases
* Ensure what we build is grounded in real-world challenges
5. Shape the Culture of Care
* Build a culture of empathy, non-judgment, and confidence
* Ensure mothers feel supported — not overwhelmed or judged
Who This Is For
* Certified lactation consultant (IBCLC preferred or equivalent experience)
* 3–8+ years of hands-on experience with mothers
* Experience in training, mentoring, or teaching others
* Someone who wants to move from 1:1 care to system-level impact
* Structured thinker who can simplify and teach
* Deeply empathetic, but also decisive and clear

* Someone who only wants to do consultations
* Someone uncomfortable with building from scratch
* Someone who prefers rigid systems over creating new ones
