Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, honest, and customer-focused Restaurant Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle billing, receive customer payments, provide excellent customer service, and ensure accurate cash handling while maintaining a smooth checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and process orders efficiently.
- Generate accurate bills using the POS system.
- Receive cash, UPI, card, and other digital payments.
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding bills and payments professionally.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth order processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter.
- Report any billing discrepancies or system issues to the supervisor.
- Follow company policies and cash-handling procedures.
Requirements
- Min 2 Years of Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of POS billing systems.
- Good numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a restaurant, café, QSR, or hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with digital payment methods and billing software.
