Job Description: Primary Teachers
A primary school teacher educates and guides young children (typically ages 5 to 11), building foundational academic knowledge, social skills, and safe classroom environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Planning & Instruction: Design and deliver engaging daily lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment while monitoring student safety.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate homework, grade exams, and track individual academic progress.
- Parent Communication: Regularly update parents or guardians on student development, behavior, and challenges.
- Extracurricular Activities: Supervise students during breaks, and help organize school events, assemblies, or field trips.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), or equivalent teaching degree.
- Certifications: Passing scores on relevant teacher eligibility tests (like TET in India) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) depending on region.
- Experience: Prior classroom practice, student-teaching, or work as an assistant teacher.
Essential Skills
- Patience and Empathy: Essential for managing young children and varied learning paces.
- Communication: Clear verbal instruction and active listening to connect with both students and parents.
- Organization: Strong time management to balance grading, planning, and supervision.
