Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead operations in a Sulphuric Acid Plant. The ideal candidate should have 8–10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with strong expertise in sulphuric acid production, process optimization, safety, quality, and team management. The role requires ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations while meeting production targets and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and manage day-to-day production activities of the sulphuric acid plant.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize process parameters to maximize plant performance and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental norms, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, utility, and EHS teams for smooth plant operations.
- Analyze production data, identify process improvements, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and implement SOPs, process controls, and best manufacturing practices.
- Lead and mentor production personnel, ensuring effective manpower utilization and training.
- Monitor raw material consumption, yield, energy efficiency, and production costs.
- Handle production-related audits and ensure compliance with ISO and other applicable standards.
- Prepare production reports, MIS, and operational performance reviews for management.
- Support commissioning, debottlenecking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- B.E. in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 8–10 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing plant, preferably in sulphuric acid production.
- Strong knowledge of sulphuric acid manufacturing processes, plant operations, process safety, and environmental compliance.
- Experience in leading production teams and coordinating cross-functional activities.
- Familiarity with DCS/SCADA systems, process optimization, and root cause analysis.
- Good leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a continuous process plant environment.
