We are looking for a seasoned sales professional with a strong engineering background to build, lead, and scale JPPL's Sales & Business Development function from the ground up.
This is a leadership role for an individual who enjoys creating systems, developing teams, nurturing customer relationships, and driving sustainable business growth. The candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to shape the company's sales strategy and build a high-performing sales organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overall sales and business development strategy.
- Build the sales organization from scratch, including recruiting, mentoring, and leading a high-performing sales team.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across retail, institutional, corporate, government, and strategic customer segments.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, contractors, channel partners, and government agencies.
- Lead business development initiatives, customer meetings, commercial negotiations, and contract discussions.
- Drive participation in tenders and institutional business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of customer commitments.
- Prepare sales forecasts, business plans, and performance reports for the Managing Director.
- Develop sales processes, reporting systems, and performance standards to support long-term business growth.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Approxinately 20 years of experience in Sales & Business Development within engineering, manufacturing, industrial products, electrical products, infrastructure, EPC, power, defence, or related industries.
- Ability to build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team from the ground up.
- Strong business development, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach sales professionals.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and capable of working independently.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Retired professionals or those nearing retirement with relevant leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
