Night Porter Opportunity (Part-time) at the 4* Court Yard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
The Court Yard Hotel is part of the Moriarty Group, which is an Irish-owned company, involved
in both the retail grocery and hotel industries. The company owns three large Super Valu, Stores in Balbriggan, Skerries and Palmerstown and two 4* hotels, the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare and the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The company currently employs 550 staff.
At the Court Yard Hotel, we are currently seeking to recruit an experienced hotel night porter to join our in-house team. If you have the relevant experience and would like to develop your career within a busy property, we could have an excellent opportunity for you.
The Role:
This is a part-time position working an average of 2-3 nights per week over 7 - an average of 16-24 hrs per week. The night porter shift is normally 11.00 pm-07.30 am.
Main Duties:
- Work in conjunction with the hotel’s night porter team.
- General Supervision of the hotel overnight following handover from the late Duty Manager
- General night porter duties
- Reception duties - check in and check outs
- Cleaning duties – e.g. public areas
- Conference/function room set up
- Food & beverage department duties
- Providing excellent customer service to our guests.
Requirements:
- 2 years previous experience as a night porter within a 3 /4* property
- Previous experience working with a front office system is desirable for check-ins and check-outs
- Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken
- Must have excellent customer care skills
- Excellent knowledge of fire safety and health and safety regulations relevant to the role
- Must have strong people skills
- Must have strong communications skills
- Must be available to work the hours required as set out above
- The ideal candidate will hold a current occupational first aid certificate – although this is not essentialBenefits:

Salary: Circa €14.65 ph DOE.
