Job Summary:
The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of aluminium formwork systems, including fabrication, assembly, and site execution. The role focuses on maintaining dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and surface finish as per project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect aluminium formwork panels, beams, props, and accessories during fabrication and before dispatch
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, alignment, and leveling of formwork at site
- Conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections for slab, wall, column, and beam formwork
- Check joint tightness, pin & wedge connections, and support systems
- Monitor concrete surface finish (honeycombing, bulging, leakage issues)
- Review shop drawings, GA drawings, and method statements
- Ensure proper handling, stacking, and maintenance of aluminium formwork materials
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and QA documentation
- Identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Coordinate with design, production, and site teams for quality compliance
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, IS codes, and client requirements
- Support internal audits and client inspections
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Aluminium Formwork Systems (Mivan / similar systems)
- Knowledge of tolerances, line, level, and verticality checks
- Familiarity with concrete behavior and finishing standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good knowledge of quality control procedures and documentation
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel & reporting tools
Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience:
- 1.5+ years of experience in Aluminium Formwork / Mivan system QC
- Freshers with internship experience in formwork can be considered
Working Conditions:
- Site-based / Factory-based role
- 6 days working (as per project requirement)
- Requires coordination with multiple departments
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
