Job Summary:
The Restaurant Cashier / Billing Executive is responsible for handling customer billing, processing payments, and ensuring accurate financial transactions at the counter. The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and handle billing at the counter efficiently
- Generate accurate bills using POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Accept payments via cash, card, UPI, and other digital methods
- Ensure correct billing, discounts, and tax calculations
- Maintain daily cash balance and report discrepancies, if any
- Issue receipts and ensure proper transaction records
- Coordinate with service staff for order verification
- Handle customer queries related to billing politely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the billing counter
- Support basic administrative or front desk tasks when required
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: any degree
- Prior experience in cashier/billing role preferred (restaurant experience is an advantage)
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing software
- Good numerical and cash handling skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
