Job Summary
1. Monitoring & Health Checks Perform daily health checks of Storage devices Monitor storage alerts, capacity utilization, pool usage, and hardware status. Review monitoring tools, call-home alerts, emails, and dashboards 2. Incident Management Handle storage-related incidents and service requests. Perform initial troubleshooting and identify issues. Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams or IBM support as required 3. Storage Provisioning Create and map volumes/LUNs as per approved requests. Expand existing volumes when additional capacity is required. Verify host connectivity after provisioning. 4. Capacity Management Monitor storage pool utilization and free capacity. Generate daily/weekly/monthly capacity reports. Highlight capacity risks and threshold breaches. 5. User Request Fulfillment Support storage allocation and reclamation activities. Coordinate with server, VMware, database, and application teams for storage requests 6. Documentation & Compliance Update operational documents and runbooks. Maintain incident records, change records, and audit evidence. Follow change management and process compliance requirements 7. Daily Operational Tasks Monitor replication status.
