startups and hold 20+ patents. The rest of the Evam team comprises alumni of IITs, IIMs,
CMU, IISc, NUS with rich experience across multiple industries
Role Overview - Senior AI Scientist
The Sr. AI Scientist is a hands-on role positioned at the intersection of AI research,
engineering excellence, and customer impact. You won't just build systems — you'll
transform complex business challenges into simple, elegant, and scalable AI solutions. You
will be instrumental in taking nascent ideas from initial concept to production-ready
deployment, working closely with R&D, product, and client delivery teams to build AI
systems that work in the real world.
If you're someone who finds equal satisfaction in reading a new paper on agentic reasoning
and shipping a feature that a customer uses the next day, this role is for you.
These are full-time onsite roles at our office located in Bengaluru.
Responsibilities
● Design, build, and deploy AI systems across agentic frameworks, ML pipelines, and
data intelligence layers
● Translate foundational research into production-ready product features
● Work alongside Architects to design secure, scalable, and resilient AI system
architectures, ensuring solutions are robust and future-proof
● Design, develop, and deploy backend services — APIs, data processing pipelines,
and deployment infrastructure — necessary to serve high-performance AI
applications to customers
● Collaborate with product and client delivery teams to ensure AI systems deliver
measurable customer value
● Evaluate and integrate emerging AI models, tools, and frameworks as the landscape
evolves
● Bring rigour to how we measure, evaluate, and improve AI system performance in
production
● Provide technical guidance and code reviews to junior engineers, uplifting team
capabilities and maintaining high standards for code quality
What are we looking for in Candidates
● 6–8 years of experience in software or data engineering with meaningful exposure to
AI/ML systems
● Strong fundamentals in machine learning, data science, and analytical thinking —
you understand the why behind the models, not just the tools
● A proven track record of building and shipping products that involve AI, ML, or data at
their core
● Comfortable working across the full lifecycle — from data pipelines and model
development to deployment and production monitoring
● A product mindset — you care about solving real problems for real users, not just
technical elegance
● Collaborative by nature — able to work fluidly across R&D, product, and client-facing
teams
● Specific tools and frameworks matter less to us than the ability to learn fast and apply
the right approach to the problem at hand
