We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Website Designer & Developer to manage and enhance our digital presence, ensuring our website and digital platforms deliver an exceptional user experience while supporting the company's growth.
Position Summary
The Website Designer & Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimising the AEC Global website to ensure it is secure, fast, user-friendly, and aligned with the company's branding and business objectives. The role will also oversee website performance optimisation, manage Google Reviews and Google Business Profiles, coordinate the design and enhancement of the company's mobile application, and work closely with the marketing team to improve online visibility and lead generation.
Key Responsibilities: Website Design & Development
- Design, develop, maintain, and update the AEC Global website. www.aecglobal.com.au
- Create responsive, mobile-friendly, and visually engaging web pages.
- Implement new features and functionality to improve user experience.
- Ensure website security, backups, and regular maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly.
Website Performance Optimisation
- Monitor and improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance.
- Optimise website loading times and user experience across desktop and mobile devices.
- Improve website accessibility and usability.
- Conduct regular website audits and implement performance improvements.
- Monitor uptime and ensure optimal website reliability.
SEO & Digital Optimisation
- Implement on-page and technical SEO best practices.
- Optimise website content, metadata, images, and internal linking.
- Improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
- Monitor website performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other reporting tools.
- Prepare monthly reports on website performance and recommend continuous improvements.
Google Reviews & Online Reputation Management
- Manage Google Business Profiles for all AEC Global offices.
- Monitor and respond professionally to Google Reviews.
- Develop strategies to increase genuine customer reviews and improve online reputation.
- Monitor customer feedback and escalate issues where necessary.
Mobile App Design & Development Coordination
- Collaborate with designers and developers to enhance the AEC Global mobile application.
- Design and recommend improvements to the app's user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).
- Coordinate testing, updates, and feature enhancements.
- Ensure consistency between the website and mobile application.
Collaboration & Digital Projects
- Work closely with the marketing, admissions, and management teams on digital initiatives.
- Design landing pages for marketing campaigns and student recruitment.
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.
- Recommend innovative digital solutions to improve customer engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in website design and development.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and responsive web design.
- Experience with website performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Analytics 4.
- Experience with UI/UX design principles.
- Familiarity with Google Business Profile management.
- Experience working with mobile app design or development projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain website uptime of 99.9% or higher.
- Improve website speed and Core Web Vitals scores.
- Increase website traffic and lead conversions.
- Deliver timely website updates and new feature implementations.
- Maintain positive Google Review ratings and timely responses.
- Successfully coordinate and implement mobile app enhancements.
- Ensure all digital platforms remain secure, functional, and aligned with business objectives.
