The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across the Metro Rail Project. The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, client safety requirements, and project-specific safety procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards during construction and related activities.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Management
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
- Monitor work activities and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
Risk Assessment & Permit System
- Review Method Statements and Safe Work Procedures.
- Monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities
Training & Awareness
- Train workers on emergency response and use of PPE.
- Ensure all personnel understand safety procedures and project requirements.
Emergency Preparedness
- Ensure emergency equipment and first-aid facilities are adequately maintained.
- Coordinate with emergency response teams during incidents.
Monitoring & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Metro Rail authority safety standards.
- Coordinate with client representatives and regulatory agencies during inspections.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
- Track corrective actions and closure of safety observations.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
