About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to join a large-scale eLearning redesign project for an aviation maintenance technician training program. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in instructional design, storyboarding, AI-assisted content authoring, and developing engaging digital learning experiences using Canvas LMS.
This role involves collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), media specialists, and development teams to create high-quality, learner-centric content while ensuring instructional accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop instructional storyboards for Daily Learning Units (DLUs).
- Create structured learning content using technical manuals, handbooks, and source documents.
- Review, refine, and enhance AI-generated instructional content for quality and instructional accuracy.
- Develop learner assessments with meaningful explanatory feedback.
- Prepare detailed Storyline interaction briefs for multimedia development.
- Collaborate with SMEs, instructional leads, and development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct instructional quality reviews before QA handoff.
- Maintain consistency in instructional design, learning flow, and content quality across multiple learning modules.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in Instructional Design.
- Strong storyboarding experience for eLearning courses.
- Experience designing content for Canvas LMS or similar Learning Management Systems.
- Expertise in eLearning content development and assessment design.
- Experience working with AI-assisted content authoring tools.
- Ability to interpret and develop content from technical manuals, textbooks, and regulatory documents.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Articulate Storyline or similar eLearning authoring tools.
- Experience in technical, vocational, or regulatory compliance training.
- Familiarity with high-volume, template-driven content development.
- Knowledge of aviation maintenance or other technical learning domains is an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
Master's degree in English, Communication, Education, Psychology, Science, Mathematics, Instructional Design, Learning Science, B.Tech, or an equivalent qualification.
