Experience: 2–5 Years (Freshers with strong PCB design skills may also be considered)
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled PCB Designer to design high-quality Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for electronic products. The candidate will work closely with the hardware, firmware teams to develop reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective PCB designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design single-layer, double-layer, and multi-layer PCB layouts.
- Create and modify PCB layouts based on circuit schematics.
- Perform component placement, trace routing, and optimization for signal integrity and thermal performance.
- Create and maintain PCB footprints and component libraries.
- Generate manufacturing files such as Gerber files, Drill files, BOM, Pick & Place, and Assembly Drawings.
- Ensure PCB designs comply with DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), and IPC standards.
- Coordinate with hardware engineers to resolve design-related issues.
- Review prototype boards and implement required design improvements.
- Support PCB fabrication and assembly during product development.
- Maintain design documentation and revision records.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with PCB design software such as Altium Designer, OrCAD.
- Good understanding of analog, digital, and power electronics circuits.
- Knowledge of PCB stack-up, grounding, EMI/EMC, signal integrity, and thermal management.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and PCB manufacturing processes.
- Experience in creating Gerber files, BOMs, and fabrication documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with embedded hardware and microcontroller-based designs.
- Knowledge of high-speed PCB routing and impedance-controlled designs.
- Familiarity with industrial electronics, instrumentation, or control systems.
