- Design press tooling dies based on customer requirements
- Execute design work with attention to detail
- Meet schedules and maintain quality standards
- Participate in projects with regards to new product development and introduction
- Identify components that are required to be sourced externally and co-ordinate demands with purchasing
- Follow all company policies, procedures and guidelines take actions that support team work, safety, and good housekeeping
- Modify existing tool designs and document changes
- Tool Design Engineers must ensure that project spending remains within budgeted guidelines
- May be required to provide external tool design engineering support to insure cost effective production of products from all members of our vendor groups
- Plans, coordinates and performs designs for complex components and assemblies using the preferred 3-Dimensional (3D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool and protocols Design press tooling based on customer requirements
