The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly analytical and execution-focused Head of Marketplace Growth to lead our marketplace expansion strategy across multiple e-commerce channels.
This is not a routine operations role.
You will work directly with the founders to build scalable systems, launch new marketplaces, improve profitability, optimize customer experience, and establish the operational foundation for a global consumer products company.
You will have end-to-end ownership of marketplace growth and play a key role in shaping the future of the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketplace Expansion
Lead the launch and growth of products across:
- Amazon (US and other international marketplaces)
- Shopify
- Walmart Marketplace
- Etsy
- eBay
Future marketplaces may include:
- Faire
- Wayfair
- Houzz
- Target Plus
- Additional global marketplaces
Amazon Marketplace Management
Own and continuously improve:
- Product listings
- Listing SEO
- Catalog management
- Product launches
- A+ Content
- Brand Store
- Pricing strategy
- Inventory planning
- Returns analysis
- Review management
- Account health
- Marketplace performance
Shopify & D2C
Develop and optimize:
- Shopify store
- Product pages
- Collections
- Landing pages
- User experience
- Conversion optimization
- SEO
- Analytics
- Customer journey
Marketplace Growth
Launch and manage additional marketplaces including:
Responsibilities include:
- Account setup
- Product listings
- SEO
- Pricing
- Inventory synchronization

Performance Marketing
Work alongside internal teams and external partners to improve:
- Amazon PPC
- Google Shopping
- Meta Advertising

Data & Analytics
Build dashboards and track key business metrics including:
- Revenue
- Contribution Margin
- Profitability
- TACOS
- ACOS
- ROAS
- Conversion Rate
- Customer Acquisition Cost
- Return Rate
- Inventory Turnover
- Customer Lifetime Value
Generate actionable insights to drive business decisions.
Operations & Process Excellence
Develop scalable SOPs covering:

Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with:

QualificationsRequired
- 5+ years of experience in e-commerce or marketplace management
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central
- Experience with Shopify
- Experience launching and managing online marketplaces
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset
- Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
- Ability to independently solve complex operational problems
Preferred

- AI tools including ChatGPT
Experience working with premium consumer brands is highly desirable.
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
You will be responsible for:
- Successfully launching new marketplaces
- Improving marketplace profitability
- Reducing TACOS and improving ROAS
- Increasing conversion rates
- Reducing return rates
- Improving customer experience
- Building scalable operational processes
- Creating executive dashboards and reporting
- Diversifying revenue beyond a single marketplace
