The SEO Account Manager owns the full lifecycle of their client portfolio: strategy, execution quality, performance, and growth. They operate independently, contribute fresh ideas, and help evolve how our agency delivers SEO in an AI-first world.
Key Responsibilities
Account Strategy & Leadership
- Own the end-to-end SEO strategy for a portfolio of client accounts, aligned to their KPIs and business goals
- Lead client-facing communications: strategy calls, monthly reviews, QBRs, and performance presentations
- Identify account growth opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals
- Ensure client expectations are consistently met and proactively address issues before they escalate
Modern SEO & GEO Execution
- Develop and execute AI-first SEO strategies encompassing GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and semantic clustering
- Lead the creation of LLMS.txt, answer-based landing pages, structured FAQs, and entity-optimized content
- Optimize for voice search, conversational queries, and zero-click intent to maximize visibility across AI-generated search surfaces
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and oversee resolution of site-level issues
- Oversee on-page optimization: title tags, meta content, header structure, and internal linking following current best practices
- Direct off-page strategies including link building, digital PR, and authority development
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Monitor and report on core organic metrics: rankings, traffic, conversions, share of voice, and AI-search visibility
- Use tools including Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and others to derive actionable insights
- Deliver high-quality monthly reports with clear narrative, data accuracy, and forward-looking recommendations
- Continuously analyse campaign performance and iterate strategy based on results
Team & Process Contribution
- Bring agency experience to improve internal workflows, onboarding processes, and strategic planning templates
- Mentor and support junior team members with technical and strategic guidance
- Communicate account status and initiatives to senior leadership on a regular cadence
- Contribute to new business proposals with competitive analysis and initial project scoping
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of hands-on SEO experience; 2+ years in a leadership or account management role
- Mandatory agency experience, ideally serving North American (US and/or Canadian) clients
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on GEO and AI-search visibility experience (optimising for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot)
- Experience with structured data, schema markup, and entity-based SEO
- Familiarity with LLMS.txt implementation and answer-based content architecture
- Experience supporting or leading onboarding and strategic planning for new client accounts
- Background in cross-channel digital strategy (Paid, Content, Social, Email) as a complement to SEO
- Proven track record of leading client communications with senior stakeholders
- Deep expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimisation, off-page strategies, and keyword research
- Strong proficiency in GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and similar analytics/SEO platforms
- Excellent written and spoken English, capable of independently leading client calls
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or similar)
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
