The role in one line
You write the words that make people stop scrolling — hooks, scripts, captions and CTAs for healthcare brands — and you make a single idea work natively across Reels, carousels, statics and LinkedIn without it ever looking copy-pasted.
What you’ll actually do
· Write short-form video scripts (Reels, Shorts) with hooks that hold in the first 1.5 seconds and bodies that actually relate to the audience.
· Write post captions across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube Community — each in the platform’s native voice.
· Adapt one content idea into 3–5 platform-native formats, each genuinely re-thought for the platform, not reformatted.
· Take a one-line brief (“dental implants for 35–55 in Hyderabad”) and return five angles, not one.
· Turn doctor expertise into scroll-stopping content without diluting clinical accuracy.
· Write English copy and regional-language hooks where they’ll out-perform (Telugu valued).
· Track trends daily — audio, formats, hook structures — and adapt them to healthcare context.
· Study what’s actually earning saves, shares and comments in healthcare social right now — ours and competitors’ — without being told to.
· Collaborate with design and video on content calendars: you own the words, you think visually, you brief the visuals well.
What “great” looks like in this seat
· Writes a 7-second hook and a 300-word LinkedIn post with equal skill.
· Knows why the hook matters more than the rest of the script — and can prove it in their work.
· Consumes social as a student of the craft, not just a user — can name what they’re watching this week and why.
· Produces consistent volume across formats with a repeatable system, not heroics.
· Has compliance instinct: spots an illegal or risky claim before legal does, and offers a compliant line that still stops the scroll.
Must-haves
· 3+ years writing social media copy specifically — scripts and captions, not blog or website copy.
· A portfolio of Reels/Shorts scripts or captions that performed, with the candidate able to explain the thinking and (where possible) the outcome.
· Demonstrable range: caption vs LinkedIn post vs Reel script are clearly different instruments in their hands.
· Trend literacy they can show on demand, not claim in the abstract.
· Comfort writing within constraints (brand, clinical accuracy, compliance) without going flat.
Strong plus (not mandatory)
· Healthcare or medical content experience.
· Telugu hook-writing ability.
Not a fit if you…
· Can’t tell the difference between an Instagram caption and a LinkedIn post.
· Write one version and call it done.
· Need a detailed brief for every single post.
· Think healthcare content has to be boring.
