The role
You own all of marketing. You build the online business, you fill the stores, and you grow the brand. You lead a small team and an agency, but you are still hands-on. You can run an ad account, plan a content week, and read a P&L in the same day.
This is a build, not a maintain. Online is a small slice of revenue today and has to become a real engine. You will set up the stack, the funnel, and the content machine that gets us there.
What success looks like in year one
- Online revenue reaches ~30% of total revenue. You build the full D2C engine: the site, Instagram Shop, Meta and Google performance, email and CRM, and the right marketplaces (Nykaa Luxe, Tira).
- Social grows to 100,000 followers on Instagram, with content that sells, not just gets likes.
- Paid and local marketing drive measurable store footfall and first-purchase conversion, especially around new store launches.
- CAC and contribution margin per online order are tracked from month one and stay healthy. We never grow by buying unprofitable orders.
- The content engine stays strong (100+ pieces a month, 3M+ impressions) while converting better.
What we are looking for
You do not need every box below. You do need the first two.
- You have built or scaled an online revenue engine for a consumer brand. Site, paid, CRM, the whole thing. You can point to the numbers you moved.
- You are hands-on. You have run Meta and Google ads yourself, read GA, and owned a content calendar. You are not a slides-only marketer.
- You have range. You can switch between the numbers (CAC, ROAS, AOV) and the taste (brand, story, look). You hold brand integrity even under pressure to discount.
- You have led people and agencies. A small team, a creative shop, freelancers. You get work out of them.
- You have 5-10 years in consumer marketing, ideally in fashion, beauty, jewelry, or lifestyle D2C.
Bonus, not required: jewelry or fashion background, an influencer network, a strong editorial eye.
