Position: Business Head – Agro Division

Salary Range: ₹50,000 – ₹70,000 per month (Based on experience and capability)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and growth-oriented Business Head – Agro Division to lead and manage the overall Agro Business of Saurashtra Group. The role is responsible for driving business growth, profitability, market expansion, strategic planning, and operational excellence across the Agro Division. The Business Head will oversee sales, procurement, operations, distribution, finance, and team performance while ensuring sustainable business growth and strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the overall P&L of the Agro Division, ensuring achievement of revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
- Develop and execute business strategies to expand market presence and increase sales across retail, wholesale, institutional, and channel partner networks.
- Identify new business opportunities, product categories, geographical markets, and strategic partnerships to drive business expansion.
- Establish annual business plans, budgets, sales forecasts, and operational targets aligned with organizational objectives.
- Monitor key business performance indicators and implement corrective actions to improve sales, profitability, inventory turnover, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and manage Sales, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, and Distribution teams to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Build and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, farmers, aggregators, FPOs, institutional buyers, exporters, and other key stakeholders.
- Develop sourcing strategies to ensure timely procurement of quality agricultural products at competitive prices.
- Ensure efficient inventory planning, warehouse management, logistics coordination, and supply chain optimization.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, Marketing, and Operations teams for seamless execution of business strategies.
- Monitor budgets, working capital, collections, cash flow, and financial performance to ensure business sustainability.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers, customers, transporters, and strategic partners to secure favorable commercial terms.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
- Develop and implement SOPs, governance frameworks, and operational controls across the Agro Division.
- Review business performance through MIS reports, dashboards, and market intelligence, and present strategic recommendations to the management.
- Drive customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Build a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and leadership development.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Agro, Agri-Commodity, Food Processing, FMCG, Seeds, Fertilizers, or Agri Inputs industry.
- Proven experience in managing complete business operations with P&L responsibility.
- Strong exposure to procurement, sales, distribution, and supply chain management.
- Demonstrated success in business development, market expansion, and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of agricultural markets, commodity trading, and supply chain dynamics.
- Experience in handling multi-location operations will be an added advantage.
