Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
Job Description:
Skyline Roofing is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Assistant Accountant to support our finance and accounts operations. The ideal candidate should have basic accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with daily accounting activities, and the ability to work accurately under deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries (sales, purchase, receipts, payments)
- Assist in preparation of monthly accounts and financial reports
- Handle bank reconciliation statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Assist in GST compliance (returns, data preparation, reconciliation)
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of vouchers and invoices
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for payment follow-ups
- Support senior accountant in audits and statutory compliance
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial data
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance role
Knowledge of Tally / accounting software and MS Excel
- Basic understanding of GST and statutory compliances
- Good numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in construction/roofing/manufacturing industry (added advantage)
- Knowledge of TDS and basic income tax
- Strong attention to detail
