Job Description
Coding Club is hiring on behalf of one of our clients for a Data Engineer with 1+ years of professional experience. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Bangalore, offering the chance to work on modern data platforms and cloud-based data engineering solutions.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. You will collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality data is available for analytics and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
- Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes.
- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external data sources.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines.
- Work with cloud-based data engineering services and modern big data technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for data workflows.
Required Skills
- 1+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering and automation.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar big data technologies.
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
- Experience using Git and version control systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
