We are a fast-growing EdTech company focused on delivering exceptional value to our customers through innovative products and customer-centric solutions. We are seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to lead revenue strategy, build a high-performance sales organization, and drive sustainable growth.
Role Overview
The Head of Sales will own revenue generation across channels and key accounts. You will set sales strategy, build and coach a results-oriented team, establish scalable processes, and ensure reliable forecasting and pipeline health. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on selling experience with proven leadership in driving teams to exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the end-to-end sales strategy aligned with company goals and GTM plans.
- Own quarterly and annual revenue targets; deliver consistent growth in ARR / revenue.
- Build, mentor, and scale the sales team (field, inside sales, BDRs, account managers); recruit top talent and implement performance management.
- Drive enterprise and mid-market sales through consultative selling; personally manage strategic / high-value deals.
- Establish robust sales processes, CRM usage (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), pipeline hygiene, qualification frameworks, and playbooks.
- Design pricing, discounting and contract strategies in collaboration with Finance and Legal.
- Implement metrics and KPIs (conversion rates, sales cycle, quota attainment, ACV, churn influence) and report to leadership.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Operations to optimize lead generation, product-market fit, and customer retention.
- Own forecasting, territory planning, and resource allocation; present accurate forecasts to the executive team.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and channels to accelerate growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and investor/customer briefings.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years in sales with at least 3–5 years in a senior sales leadership role (Head of Sales, Sales Director, VP Sales).
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets and scaling sales teams.
- Strong core selling experience—experience closing large deals and hands-on involvement in the sales cycle.
- Experience in [insert industry — EdTech preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build processes, forecasting discipline, and CRM-driven sales operations.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience using sales metrics to drive decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Comfortable working in high-growth, fast-changing environments.
