Our India operations are a critical part of the manufacturing backbone, and we are expanding our cutting and polishing facility in Sitapura, Jaipur to support growing global demand.
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned HR leader to manage end-to-end human resources operations for a diamond cutting and polishing facility in Sitapura, Jaipur. This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring expertise in factory HR management, regulatory compliance, and workforce handling across diverse cultural backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities1. HR Operations & Workforce Management
- Lead complete HR function for the manufacturing unit
- Manage hiring, onboarding, training, and retention of skilled and semi-skilled workforce
- Build and maintain a productive, disciplined, and performance-driven shop floor culture
- Handle employee relations, grievance resolution, and conflict management
2. Payroll, Compensation & Statutory Compliance
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Handle salary structuring, revisions, incentives, and bonus calculations
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including:
- PF, ESIC, PT, TDS
- Labour welfare regulations
- Coordinate with finance/accounts for salary disbursement and reporting
- Maintain payroll records, audits, and documentation
- Oversee contractor payments and compliance where applicable
- Work closely on GST-related coordination impacting manpower costs (where applicable)
3. Compliance & Regulatory Management
- Ensure adherence to all statutory and factory compliance requirements
- Manage and maintain certifications such as:
- ISO standards
- RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council)
- Environmental and sustainability standards
- Carbon neutrality initiatives
- Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and compliance bodies
4. Multi-Cultural Workforce Handling
- Manage a workforce from diverse regions across India
- Develop policies and engagement programs that ensure harmony and productivity
- Handle language, cultural, and behavioral differences effectively
5. Performance & Policy Implementation
- Design and implement HR policies aligned with business goals
- Drive performance management systems and productivity metrics
- Establish discipline frameworks and SOPs for factory operations
6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure workplace safety standards are implemented and followed
- Promote environmental responsibility and compliance within factory operations
- Lead initiatives for sustainable manufacturing practices
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or diamond industry
- Strong knowledge of payroll management and statutory compliances
- Hands-on experience with ISO, RJC, environmental, and sustainability certifications
- Proven ability to manage large, diverse workforce across multiple regions
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Based in Jaipur or willing to relocate
