Job Summary:
We are hiring experienced Plant Operators to manage and operate ETP, STP, RO, MEE, and ZLD systems. The role involves ensuring smooth plant operations, maintaining compliance with environmental standards, and supporting maintenance and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate ETP, STP, RO, MEE, and ZLD plants on a day-to-day basis to ensure smooth functioning.
- Monitor treatment processes including screening, equalization, aeration, clarification, filtration, RO, evaporation, crystallization, and sludge handling as per SOP.
- Ensure treated water quality meets PCB / CPCB / consent standards.
- Conduct routine testing of influent and effluent parameters such as pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, Oil & Grease, etc.
- Maintain daily operational data, logbooks, laboratory test results, and shift records.
- Operate and monitor chemical dosing systems (lime, alum, polymer, acids, nutrients, antiscalants, etc.).
- Monitor chemical levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Perform routine checks of pumps, blowers, motors, pipelines, and valves; report abnormalities.
- Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Monitor sludge generation, dewatering, drying, and ensure proper storage.
- Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and handle chemicals as per MSDS guidelines.
- Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness, and discipline in the plant area.
- Report any abnormalities, breakdowns, or safety incidents immediately.
- Assist during audits, inspections, and sampling by regulatory authorities or internal teams.
- Follow instructions from Plant Supervisor / In-charge and comply with statutory requirements.
- Perform any additional duties in the interest of the organization.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. / ITI (Chemical, Biochemical, Environmental)
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in ETP/STP/RO/ZLD plant operations
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and compliance standards
- Ability to work in shifts and handle plant operations independently
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with CPCB/PCB guidelines
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge
- Strong attention to safety and operational discipline
