Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Installation & Commissioning Engineer to manage the installation, testing, commissioning, and technical support of tyre recycling machinery at customer sites. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring successful machine setup, operational efficiency, troubleshooting, and customer satisfaction during project execution.
The ideal candidate should possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience in industrial machinery installation, and willingness to travel extensively for onsite assignments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Installation & Commissioning
- Supervise and execute installation of tyre recycling machinery at customer locations.
- Perform machine alignment, assembly, wiring coordination, and commissioning activities.
- Conduct machine trials and ensure proper operational performance before handover.
- Ensure all installation activities are completed within project timelines.
2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues during installation and commissioning.
- Provide onsite troubleshooting and technical support to customers.
- Coordinate with design, production, and service teams for issue resolution.
3. Customer Coordination
- Communicate with customers regarding installation schedules, site readiness, utilities requirements, and commissioning plans.
- Train customer operators and maintenance staff on machine operations, safety, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure smooth project execution and maintain strong customer relationships.
4. Testing & Performance Validation
- Conduct performance testing and quality checks after commissioning.
- Verify machine output, safety systems, and operational parameters as per company standards.
- Prepare installation and commissioning reports with technical observations.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed service reports, commissioning checklists, and project documentation.
- Prepare machine handover documents and obtain customer approvals.
- Update management regarding project progress and technical concerns.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Follow all workplace safety standards and customer site safety regulations.
- Ensure safe installation practices during mechanical and electrical work.
- Maintain compliance with company quality and technical standards.
7. After-Sales Service Support
- Support customers during warranty and post-installation periods when required.
- Attend breakdown calls and preventive maintenance visits.
- Assist in AMC/service support activities if assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Industrial Engineering
- or related technical field.
Desired Experience
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in installation, commissioning, or servicing of industrial machinery.
- Experience in recycling machinery, heavy engineering equipment, plant machinery, or industrial automation will be preferred.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Mechanical assembly
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulic & pneumatic systems
- Industrial machinery troubleshooting
- Ability to read technical drawings, layouts, and electrical diagrams.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation will be an added advantage.
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Proficiency in preparing technical reports and documentation.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
