We are looking for a Purchase Manager to lead the procurement function at Vibcare Pharma. You will own end-to-end purchasing of the products we market across India — from vendor finalisation and rate negotiation to ensuring on-time, in-full supply — while managing the purchase team and keeping costs, quality, and stock levels under control.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy: Plan and manage purchasing for all marketed products across divisions; ensure the right product is available at the right time and cost.
-
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and finalise manufacturing partners/suppliers; negotiate rates, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms; maintain rate contracts and annual agreements.
-
PO & Follow-up: Oversee Purchase Order generation and drive follow-ups with manufacturers for artwork approval, batch planning, packing, and dispatch timelines.
-
Inventory Planning: Set and monitor reorder levels and safety stock, control near-expiry and slow-moving stock, and prevent stock-outs across the portfolio.
-
Cost Control: Negotiate pricing and freight, track price trends, and drive cost savings without compromising quality or supply.
-
Documentation & Compliance: Ensure COA, GST/HSN, e-invoice/e-way bill, batch/expiry, and MRP/labelling compliance before dispatch.
-
Claims & Issues: Handle shortages, damages, quality claims, and debit notes with timely closure.
-
Team Management: Lead and guide the purchase team; allocate work, review performance, and build vendor and process discipline.
-
Supplier Development: Onboard alternate/backup vendors and maintain supplier performance scorecards.
-
Reporting: Maintain purchase MIS (PO vs. received, OTIF, lead time, price history) and share regular reports with management.
-
Coordination: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Accounts, Warehouse, and QA — especially on new product launches and priority supplies.
-
Experience: 6+ years in pharma purchasing / supply chain, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role (third-party / contract manufacturing exposure preferred).
-
Education: Graduate; B.Pharm / BBA / MBA (Supply Chain or Operations) is a plus.
-
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management.
-
Good command of Excel (Pivot, XLOOKUP/SUMIFS) and ERP systems.
-
Understanding of GST basics, purchase documentation, and inventory control.
-
Clear communication in Hindi & English.
-
Personal Traits:
- Strong ownership and follow-through.
-
Cost-conscious and detail-oriented.
-
Able to manage a team and work under deadlines.
-
Competitive CTC + performance incentives
-
Health & accidental insurance (self & family), PF/ESIC as per norms
-
Learning & growth opportunities
-
Subsidised meals & company transport
-
Professional, supportive work environment
