About the Role
As Principal DevOps Engineer, you are the architect of our engineering velocity. You won’t simply
manage servers — you will design the foundation on which our entire product ecosystem runs. Your
mission is to build a “Golden Path” for developers: a seamless, automated, high-performance platform
that turns complex infrastructure into a self-service utility.
You will lead how we ship software, how we scale our global Kubernetes footprint, and how we maintain
a world-class security and cost posture — against a weekly release cadence.
Key Responsibilities
– Platform orchestration. Architect and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters with
Terraform and Terragrunt, owning the full lifecycle of our compute environments.
– Release strategy. Design and implement advanced deployment patterns — Blue/Green, Canary,
feature flags — to deliver zero-downtime releases across a microservices architecture.
– Infrastructure as Code. Standardize our multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure. If it isn’t in code, it
doesn’t exist — our IaC must be modular, tested, and scalable.
– CI/CD leadership. Optimize GitHub Actions and GitLab CI pipelines to cut build times and tighten
feedback loops, and own the code-governance strategy across branch protection and automated
compliance.
– Performance & observability. Partner with Performance Engineering to embed automated
benchmarking into the pipeline and build comprehensive telemetry with Prometheus, Grafana, and
ELK/Datadog.
– FinOps & efficiency. Monitor and optimize infrastructure spend, architecting solutions that are
both high-performing and cost-efficient.
– Mentorship. Act as a force multiplier — set the technical standards for the DevOps team and guide
software engineering squads.
What We’re Looking For
– Orchestration. Deep, under-the-hood expertise in Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS) and service meshes
(Istio/Linkerd).
– Provisioning. Expert-level mastery of Terraform; experience with Pulumi or Crossplane is a plus.
– Automation. Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for building custom platform tooling.
– CI/CD. Advanced knowledge of GitHub Enterprise — Actions, Runners, and API-driven automation.

– Cloud. Strong experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
– Security. Hands-on DevSecOps practice — secret management with Vault, image scanning, and
policy enforcement via OPA/Kyverno.
What Success Looks Like
Month 1 You’ve audited our Terraform modules and set a roadmap for a unified, multi-
region Kubernetes deployment strategy.
Month 3 You’ve cut time-to-production for new services by 40% through standardized
CI/CD templates and self-service infra provisioning.
Month 6 The platform is a competitive advantage: developers deploy with confidence,
infrastructure costs are optimized, and reliability (SLAs) is at an all-time high.
