Position:- Production Engineer (Fabrication Manufacturing Plant)

Job Summary
Production Engineer responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising fabrication and manufacturing activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and cost objectives are achieved. The role involves managing fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, welding, assembly, and finishing while continuously improving productivity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution
- Plan and monitor daily production activities in accordance with customer orders and production schedules.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and tools.
- Coordinate with the design, quality, maintenance, and stores departments to ensure a smooth production flow.
- Monitor production output and take corrective actions to meet delivery deadlines.
Fabrication Process Management
- Supervise fabrication operations, including:
- CNC Plasma/Laser Cutting
- Shearing & Bending
- Welding (MIG, TIG, Arc Welding)
- Grinding & Finishing
- Assembly and Fit-up
- Ensure compliance with fabrication drawings, specifications, and process standards.
- Resolve production and technical issues on the shop floor.
Quality Control
- Ensure products meet quality requirements and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and corrective actions.
- Analyse rejection, rework, and scrap data and implement improvement measures.
Productivity & Continuous Improvement
- Implement 5S, productivity improvement initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production losses and downtime.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and production KPIs.
Manpower Management
- Allocate work and supervise operators, welders, fitters, and helpers.
- Conduct training programs for shop-floor personnel.
- Maintain discipline and adherence to company policies.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
- Promote a safe working culture across the fabrication shop.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily production reports, MIS reports, and productivity analysis.
- Maintain records of production, machine utilization, rejection, and downtime.
- Support ISO and other quality management system requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3–10 years of experience in a fabrication manufacturing plant.
- Knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding processes, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.

- Exposure to CNC fabrication machinery and welding quality standards.

Job Types: Regular / Permanent, Full-time
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
