We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EXIM Executive to manage our end-to-end international trade operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, processing, and tracking all export and import documentation while ensuring strict compliance with customs regulations and foreign trade policies. A primary requirement for this role is hands-on, practical expertise in navigating and utilizing the ICEGATE portal for seamless customs clearance and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- ICEGATE Operations:
- File and manage necessary export/import documents directly or in coordination with CHAs via the ICEGATE portal.
- Track and monitor the status of Shipping Bills, Bills of Entry, and IGST refunds through the portal.
- Utilize e-Sanchit for the digital uploading of supporting customs clearance documents.
- End-to-End EXIM Documentation:
- Prepare and verify pre-shipment and post-shipment documents, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Bills of Lading (B/L), and Airway Bills (AWB).
- Handle bank-related documentation for foreign trade, including Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Realization Certificates (e-BRC), and Advance Payments.
- Logistics & Coordination:
- Liaise daily with Custom House Agents (CHAs), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport vendors to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of cargo.
- Negotiate freight rates and optimize shipping routes to reduce logistics costs.
- Compliance & Tracking:
- Ensure all transactions comply with DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade), Customs, and FEMA/RBI guidelines.
- Classify goods correctly using appropriate HSN codes and calculate applicable customs duties.
- Maintain precise internal trackers for all inbound and outbound shipments and provide regular updates to management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 4-5 years of dedicated experience in Export-Import operations and documentation.
- ICEGATE Expertise: Mandatory, hands-on experience navigating the ICEGATE portal for daily customs operations.
- Trade Knowledge: Strong understanding of standard INCOTERMS, HSN classifications, and foreign trade policies.
- Coordination Skills: Proven ability to aggressively follow up with external agencies (CHAs, shipping lines, banks).
- Attention to Detail: Zero-tolerance for errors in documentation, as mistakes can lead to customs delays or financial penalties.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Excel and standard ERP/accounting software.
