Reporting to : Factory Manager
Experience : 10 to 15 Yrs in flexible packaging or Bag making/pouching mfg process
Education : Degree in Plastic Science or Engineering
Mfg Exp : Blown Extrusion Film, Printing, Security Bag Making / Pouching
Salary : CTC 8 Lacs to 10 lacs
Key Responsibilities:
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that products and processes comply with all relevant regulations and standards. Lead to all audits – Compliances and Customers (ISO 9001, ISO 15738 (QMS), BRCGs, cGMP, Etc)
· Establishing Quality Standards: Defining and communicating quality requirements for products, processes, and materials.
· Monitoring and Auditing: Conducting inspections, audits, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
· Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency through process improvements and best practices.
· Developing and Implementing Quality Management Systems: This includes creating quality manuals, procedures, and plans.
· Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Identifying and resolving quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventative actions. Attending customer complaints.
· Training and Development: Providing training to quality control staff and other employees on quality procedures and best practices.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of quality data, audit results, and performance metrics.
· Collaboration and Communication: Working with various departments, including engineering, production, and customer service, to ensure quality is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
· Leadership and Team Management: Leading and motivating quality control teams, providing guidance and mentorship.
Specific tasks:
· Writing IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols and reports for laboratory equipment.
· Compliance and Customer Audits management must be very strong.
· Wastage reduction through a scientific approach and sustainability
· Conducting pre-qualification activities for suppliers and vendors.
· Reviewing and approving standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Monitoring and analysing quality performance metrics.
· Investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions.
· Developing and implementing quality control plans for specific projects.
· Ensuring that welding qualifications and procedures comply with standards.
· Managing document control and document management systems.

Skills and Qualifications:
· Strong knowledge of quality management principles and practices.
· Hands-on experience of the use of lab equipment’s - COF, UTM, Tensile Machine, MFI, Opacity, Hot Air Oven, Gloss Meter, Humidity / Conditioning Chamber, WVTR, Heat Sealer etc.
· Experience with quality control procedures, auditing, and inspection.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Knowledge of flexible packaging industry standards and regulations is a must
· Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, science).
· Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) may be added advantages
