Purpose of the Role:
· Optimize demand and supply planning across the entire import logistics process to improve cash flow management.
· Enhance logistics efficiency and contribute to overall organizational profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand & Supply Planning · Plan demand and procurement based on sales forecasts.
- Prepare ordering schedules aligned with warehouse capacity and stock planning.
- Ensure optimum inventory levels to support business requirements.
Import Logistics Management
· Handle complete import shipment cycle from order placement to delivery at warehouse.
· Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, CHAs, and transporters.
· Monitor shipment movement and ensure timely clearance and delivery.
· Manage CFS procedures and DPD schemes efficiently.
· Minimize demurrage, detention, and other avoidable logistics costs
Vendor & Commercial Management
- Negotiate freight, CHA charges, and transportation costs to achieve competitive pricing.
- Finalize and manage agreements with logistics service providers and transporters.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Plan warehouse space utilization and ensure proper storage of materials.
- Oversee stock management and maintain daily stock reports.
- Ensure proper upkeep and organization of the warehouse.
Reporting & MIS
· Review and present weekly/monthly MIS reports on shipments, inventory, and logistics performance
- Highlight risks, delays, and improvement opportunities to senior management.
Desired Qualification & Experience:
Qualification:
Graduate in Commerce / Supply Chain / Logistics / Business Administration
Skills & Experience:
· 4-6 years of experience in import logistics and supply chain operations
· Experience in handling Logistics in trading organization (preferred)
· Strong knowledge of import logistics, customs clearance, and documentation
· Negotiation and vendor management skills
· Warehouse and inventory management expertise
· Good coordination, planning and communication abilities
· Proficiency in MS office, Tally (Preferred)
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
