OT Technician – Job Description About the Role RoopJeevan Hospital, Raipur, is looking for a dedicated and skilled OT Technician to join our healthcare team. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the smooth and safe functioning of the Operation Theatre and supporting the surgical team during procedures. Key Responsibilities Prepare the Operation Theatre before and after surgical procedures. Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgeries. Ensure proper availability and preparation of surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables. Handle and maintain OT equipment and instruments. Perform proper cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and storage of instruments as per hospital protocols. Follow strict infection-control and biomedical waste management practices. Maintain OT records, checklists, and documentation. Monitor OT inventory and inform the concerned staff about shortages or requirements. Ensure proper functioning and readiness of OT equipment. Assist with patient shifting and positioning as required. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the OT. Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and NABH standards. Eligibility Diploma/Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or equivalent qualification. Prior experience as an OT Technician will be preferred. Freshers with relevant qualifications may also be considered. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
