We are looking for experienced Commis I and Commis II – Continental to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Continental cuisine and be passionate about preparing high-quality food while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Continental dishes as per standard recipes.
- Carry out mise en place before service.
- Prepare soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, pizzas, grills, steaks, and sauces.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and kitchen equipment.
- Assist in inventory management, stock rotation (FIFO), and minimize food wastage.
- Work closely with senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
Requirements
Commis II
- 1–2 years of experience in a Continental kitchen.
- Good knowledge of basic Continental cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Ability to assist senior chefs during service.
Commis I
- 2–4 years of experience in a Continental kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of Continental cuisine, sauces, grills, pasta, pizzas, steaks, and plating.
- Ability to independently manage a kitchen section and support junior staff.
