Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled CNC Turning Operator with experience in operating CNC turning machines for precision-machined components. The ideal candidate should have experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing industries and be capable of producing quality components as per engineering drawings and process specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Turning (Lathe) machines to manufacture precision components.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely.
- Perform machine setup and tool offset adjustments as per process requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using measuring instruments.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain product quality.
- Monitor tool wear and replace cutting tools when required.
- Maintain production records and complete job documentation.
- Follow production schedules to achieve daily output targets.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify and report machine abnormalities or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures, 5S, and company policies.
Required Skills
- Experience operating CNC Turning/Lathe machines.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Bore Gauge
- Height Gauge
- Thread Gauge
- Knowledge of cutting tools and inserts.
- Understanding of machining parameters such as speed, feed, and depth of cut.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
- ITI (Turner/Machinist/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- 2–5 Years in CNC Turning operations.
- Experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or Precision Manufacturing industries is preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in precision machining of aerospace or automotive components.
- Knowledge of quality standards and in-process inspection.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
