Job Summary:
We are looking for a Forge Shop Supervisor (Quality) to oversee quality control activities in the forging shop across assigned shifts. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of forging processes, quality inspection techniques, and production standards. The role requires ensuring that all forged components meet quality specifications while maintaining safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise quality inspection activities during assigned shifts.
* Monitor forging operations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Conduct dimensional, visual, and process inspections of forged components.
* Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
* Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and production documentation.
* Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve process-related issues.
* Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
* Train and guide shop floor operators on quality requirements and inspection procedures.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process efficiency.
Skills & Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of forging processes and quality control methods.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and other inspection tools.
* Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action techniques.
* Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
* Ability to work effectively in rotational shifts.
* Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation is preferred.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
