Key Responsibilities
1. Capital Architecture & Project Finance
- Lead the comprehensive financing lifecycle for large-scale projects across hospitality, infrastructure, petroleum retailing, and emerging ventures.
- Design and implement innovative financial strategies that optimize the mix of debt, equity, and promoter funding to ensure efficient capital structure and cost of capital.
- Develop detailed, scalable financial models to forecast multi-year capital requirements, cash flows, and returns on investment.
- Manage negotiation and closure of term loans, working capital facilities, and structured finance instruments with banks, NBFCs, and private financiers.
- Oversee disbursement schedules, covenant compliance, and timely servicing of debt obligations.
- Ensure alignment of project financing with the Group’s strategic growth plans and risk appetite.
2. Institutional & Banking Relations
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with financial institutions, rating agencies, and key stakeholders to enhance Surya Group’s credit profile and market reputation.
- Lead complex negotiations for loan sanctions, consortium funding arrangements, refinancing, and loan restructuring as needed to optimize financial flexibility.
- Coordinate with corporate banking teams, credit analysts, valuers, legal consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth and compliant fund flow.
- Maintain high standards of communication and transparency to foster trust and long-term institutional support.
- Monitor market trends, interest rate movements, and regulatory changes to proactively manage financial risks and opportunities.
3. Governance, Compliance & Strategic Expansion
- Establish and enforce robust internal controls, compliance frameworks, and governance policies across all financial operations, including GST, taxation, statutory reporting, and regulatory adherence.
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive financial budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, communicating actionable insights to the leadership team.
- Drive rigorous capital allocation processes to prioritize investments with the highest strategic and financial returns.
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances that align with Surya Group’s diversification and growth objectives.
- Advise the executive leadership on risk management strategies, capital structure optimization, and readiness for future public listing.
- Champion sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) considerations in financial and strategic decision-making.
4. Leadership & Team Development
- Provide visionary leadership to the finance and strategy teams, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and accountability.
- Build scalable financial systems, processes, and reporting frameworks to support rapid multi-vertical growth.
- Mentor and develop finance professionals to enhance capabilities in project finance, credit management, and strategic planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business heads, operations, and corporate functions to drive integrated decision-making and execution excellence.
5. Strategic Growth & Institutional Building
- Serve as a key strategic partner to the promoters and executive team, contributing to the formulation and execution of the Group’s long-term vision and institutional roadmap.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable strategies that facilitate sustainable expansion and value creation.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen the Group’s financial DNA, embedding discipline, transparency, and innovation across all business units.
- Act as the ambassador of Surya Group’s financial integrity and strategic ambition to external stakeholders, positioning the Group for future market leadership.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a blend of banker and strategist, combining technical expertise with visionary leadership.
- Qualifications: CA, CFA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent advanced specialization.
- Experience: 5–15+ years in corporate credit, project finance, debt syndication, or financial closures, preferably within hospitality, real estate, or infrastructure sectors.
- Professional Background: Experience in Corporate Credit Divisions of Banks, NBFCs, Infrastructure Consulting, or Tier-1 CA firms.
- Skills & Mindset: Master negotiator, entrepreneurial owner-operator approach, and a commitment to long-term institutional growth beyond short-term administration.
Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
