Job Summary
The Mechanical Autodesk, Automation & PLM Trainer is responsible for delivering structured training programs in mechanical design software, industrial automation fundamentals, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. The role includes curriculum development, practical lab training, student evaluation, and industry-oriented skill development.
Key Responsibilities1. Autodesk Mechanical Software Training
- Deliver training in:
- AutoCAD (Mechanical drafting)
- Autodesk Inventor
- Fusion 360 (if applicable)
- Teach 2D drafting, 3D modeling, assembly, detailing, and BOM creation.
- Conduct real-time design demonstrations and industry-based projects.
- Train students in GD&T and manufacturing drawing standards.
2. Automation Training
- Deliver foundational and intermediate training in industrial automation concepts.
- Cover PLC basics, ladder logic programming, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- Conduct practical sessions and simulation-based training.
- Guide students on automation project development.
3. PLM Training
- Introduce PLM concepts including product data management and lifecycle processes.
- Train on industry PLM tools (basic overview).
- Explain engineering change management and documentation workflows.
- Conduct case-study-based sessions on product lifecycle stages.
4. Curriculum Development
- Prepare structured lesson plans, assignments, and lab manuals.
- Develop real-time industry-based projects.
- Update course content based on latest software versions and industry trends.
5. Student Evaluation & Support
- Conduct assessments, mock tests, and practical evaluations.
- Provide technical guidance and career counseling.
- Assist students with project portfolios and interview preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design / automation / PLM.
- Autodesk certification preferred.
- Prior training or teaching experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of 2D drafting and 3D modeling concepts.
- Understanding of industrial automation fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of PLM workflows and documentation systems.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to conduct classroom and lab-based sessions.
