Liaison Manager / Head – Compliance
Location: Bengaluru | Reporting: CFO / CEO
Role Purpose:
Lead end-to-end statutory, regulatory, food safety, factory, labour, licensing and business compliance across all manufacturing units, offices, warehouses, DCs and retail locations. Ensure timely renewals, filings, audits, inspections and closure of compliance gaps while minimising legal and operational risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage FSSAI, Factory, Labour, Shops & Establishments, Legal Metrology, Fire, Pollution Control and other statutory compliances.
- Ensure timely renewal of all licences, registrations, returns.
- Monitor PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Minimum Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, Contract Labour and related labour compliances.
- Conduct regular compliance audits across factories, DCs, warehouses, offices and retail outlets.
- Maintain a central Compliance & Licence Master and ensure zero licence lapses.
- Coordinate with FSSAI, Labour Department, Factory Inspectorate, Legal Metrology, Fire Department, Pollution Control Board and other authorities.
- Monitor contractor/vendor statutory compliance and conduct periodic vendor audits.
- Manage regulatory notices, inspections, observations and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with POSH and workplace statutory requirements.
- Maintain a Compliance Risk Register and provide monthly/quarterly compliance MIS to senior management.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, Quality, Production, Operations, Procurement and Legal teams.
Qualification & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Law related field.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in government liaison / regulatory affairs, preferably in FMCG, food manufacturing, retail or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of FSSAI, factory, labour, licensing, Legal Metrology and multi-location compliance.
- Strong documentation, audit, government liaison, communication and follow-up skills.
- Willingness to travel to factories, DCs and other company locations for compliance audits and inspection
Pay: From ₹120,000.00 per month
