Trainer – Two Wheeler Service Technician
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Trainer – Two Wheeler Service Technician for its skill development training programs in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
The trainer will be responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training to candidates in two-wheeler servicing, repair, maintenance, diagnostics, workshop safety, and customer service practices as per the prescribed curriculum, Qualification Pack/NOS, and applicable skill development guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical training for Two Wheeler Service Technician / Automotive Service Technician job roles.
- Train candidates in inspection, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of motorcycles and scooters.
- Conduct practical demonstrations on various two-wheeler systems and components.
Provide hands-on training in:
- Engine servicing and repair
- Fuel supply and injection systems
- Clutch and transmission systems
- Braking systems
- Steering and suspension
- Electrical and electronic systems
- Battery and charging systems
- Ignition systems
- Lubrication and cooling systems
- Tyre inspection and replacement
- Routine servicing and preventive maintenance
- Demonstrate proper use of automotive hand tools, measuring instruments, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery.
- Train candidates in identification of common faults and systematic troubleshooting procedures.
- Ensure adherence to prescribed **Qualification Pack (QP), National Occupational Standards (NOS), NSQF curriculum, and training hours**.
- Prepare lesson plans, session plans, practical exercises, assignments, and training materials.
- Conduct regular practical sessions, internal assessments, mock tests, and skill evaluations.
- Maintain candidate attendance, assessment records, practical logs, and other training documentation.
- Provide additional coaching and remedial training to candidates requiring support.
- Ensure proper maintenance, availability, and safe handling of tools and training equipment.
- Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures, occupational health and safety standards, and use of PPE.
- Prepare candidates for final assessment and certification.
- Provide candidates with basic employability skills, workplace discipline, and industry-readiness guidance.
- Coordinate with the Centre Manager, Training Coordinator, Assessors, and Project Team for smooth delivery of training.
- Support placement activities by preparing candidates for interviews and employment opportunities with automobile dealerships, service centres, and workshops.
Qualification
Candidates should preferably possess one of the following qualifications:
- ITI in Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Mechanic Two & Three Wheeler / Automobile.
- Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering
- B.E./B.Tech in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering
- Any other relevant qualification in the Automotive sector
Experience
- Minimum 3 - 4 years of relevant industry and/or training experience in two-wheeler servicing, repair, and maintenance.
- Experience working with authorized two-wheeler dealerships, service centres, automobile workshops, or skill development training centres will be preferred.
- Previous experience as a Two Wheeler Technician Trainer / Automotive Trainer will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of motorcycles and scooters.
- Good practical knowledge of two-wheeler servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with conventional as well as fuel-injected two-wheelers.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to conduct effective classroom and workshop-based training.
- Strong practical demonstration and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
- Knowledge of NSQF, QP-NOS, assessments, and skill development programs will be an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Telugu is essential; working knowledge of English and Hindi will be an added advantage.
