Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Chemist with strong knowledge in Water Treatment Plant (WTP) operations and Biochemistry. The candidate will be responsible for water quality testing, chemical analysis, process monitoring, and maintaining laboratory records.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze WTP process parameters and treated water quality.
- Conduct routine chemical and biological testing of water and wastewater.
- Perform pH, TDS, COD, BOD, DO, MLSS, chlorine and other relevant tests.
- Monitor biological treatment processes and maintain required parameters.
- Handle laboratory chemicals, instruments, and testing equipment safely.
- Maintain daily laboratory reports, test results, and WTP records.
- Ensure water treatment processes meet required quality and environmental standards.
- Identify process deviations and coordinate with the WTP/production team for corrective action.
- Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and environmental guidelines.
- Supervise and guide junior chemists/operators when required.
Qualification & Experience
- B.Sc / M.Sc Chemistry, Biochemistry or related qualification.
- Relevant experience in WTP and Biochemistry is required.
- Practical knowledge of water/wastewater testing and biological treatment processes.
- Good knowledge of laboratory instruments and chemical handling.
- Willingness to work in 3 shifts.
