Business Development Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a driven, result-oriented, and experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth within the assigned territory.
This role requires a proactive sales approach, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to understand customer requirements while recommending tailored seating solutions.
The candidate will play a key role in expanding the company's market presence and consistently achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct market research to identify untapped markets, competitor activities, customer trends, and customer pain points.
- Generate qualified leads through cold calling, field visits, referrals, networking events, and existing business contacts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, dealers, corporate clients, hospitals, hotels, multiplexes, and institutional customers.
- Schedule meetings with prospective clients to understand their project requirements and business needs.
- Conduct regular field visits to expand the customer base and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Present product demonstrations at both the showroom and client locations while effectively explaining product features and benefits.
- Recommend customized seating solutions based on customer requirements and project specifications.
- Prepare quotations and proposals in coordination with internal teams.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts to successfully close business opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Operations, Production, and Customer Support teams to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of customer orders.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales pipelines, CRM updates, and daily activity reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports along with sales forecasts for management review.
- Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, networking events, and industry conferences to generate new business opportunities.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with dealers and channel partners to increase market reach and business growth.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, cross-selling, upselling, and customer referrals.
- Monitor customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle and provide prompt support whenever required.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Consistently achieve and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in Field Sales, Business Development, or Showroom Sales.
- Hands-on experience in dealer management and channel partner development.
- Strong knowledge of B2B sales and consultative selling techniques.
- Proven ability to generate leads, negotiate effectively, and close sales.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple client accounts.
- Good presentation and customer engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and business development activities.
